The automaker claimed the truck outsold its nearest competitor – Chevrolet’s Silverado – by just over 97,000 units – the largest such margin for three years.
For the 28th consecutive year, the F-series was America’s best-selling vehicle of any type.
December sales for the model were 48,209, a 16% rise and the best sales month since March 2008.
