Ford is recalling 2015 Lincoln MKCsin North America to relocate keyless start pushbuttons because drivers are inadvertently shutting off the engine while driving.

No accidents or injuries have been reported so far, the automaker said. Details are as follows:

Ford said it would recall 13,574 units to relocate the switch.

“If the push-to-start button is inadvertently actuated while driving, the restraint system may not perform as intended in a crash, increasing the risk of injuries, it said in a statement.

Affected vehicles were built in Louisville from 20 August 2013 to 9 September 2014. There are 11,144 units in the US and federalised territories, 2,033 in Canada and 397 in Mexico.

Dealers will replace the gearshift module with one that has the start button in a different location and re-programme the powertrain control module.
