Ford will add a third shift at its Cleveland plant to meet increasing demand for fuel-efficient engines.
The company will shift 250 workers from its engine plant two, where it is ending production as it is phasing out the motor line made there, to plant one, Businessweek reported.

According to Ford spokeswoman Marcey Evans, the company will temporarily lay off 100 workers at plant two until it can find them other jobs. The company builds V6 EcoBoost engines at plant one.
