Ford Motor Company has named Nick Smither vice president and chief information officer.
He succeeds Marv Adams, who has resigned as senior vice president, CIO and Corporate Strategy, to join Citigroup as its new CIO, effective 21 April.
Smither most recently served as executive director, global information technology business operations, reporting to Adams. In his new role, he will report to Jim Padilla, Ford’s president and chief operating officer.
The automaker said responsibilities for the corporate strategy group will announced later.
