Reporters at this week’s Detroit motor show asked Mulally if he could be lured away by GM, according to Reuters.


Mulally said any search for his successor at Ford should focus on both internal and external candidates, and praised his senior management team.


He also said he did not expect to hire union employees at the lower wage level agreed recently with the United Auto Workers union before next year.
