Restructuring at Faurecia will see an exhaust systems plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, which supplies BMW’s US car factory, close by the end of the year with the loss of about 150 jobs. It opened only in 2010.

Media reports said another factory in Fountain Inn, also in South Carolina, would take over the work. That plant currently makes interior systems.
