Delphi, currently in US bankruptcy protection, on Friday said it agreed to sell its brake components business, including a plant in Mexico, to Robert Bosch and its Mexican affiliate for about $US15m, according to a US report.

The Associated Press (AP) said Delphi filed a motion in bankruptcy court on Friday to request a bidding procedures hearing on 26 June.

After the completion of the bidding procedure process, the company expects a final sale hearing to be set for 19 July, Delphi said, according to the news agency, which added that the final sale of the plant is subject to court approval.
