Cooper Tyre & Rubber, along with its Chinese subsidiary, Cooper (Kunshan) Tyre and former subsidiary Cooper Chengshan (Shandong) Tyre, filed summonses with the US Court of International Trade contesting the US Commerce Department’s antidumping and countervailing duty findings against Chinese light truck passenger car tyres.
The duty findings were issued on 18 June and affirmed on 10 August by the Commerce Department’s International Trade Commission, Tire Business reported.

A Cooper spokeswoman said that the company’s summonses do not include appeals.
The antidumping duties range from 14.35% to 87.99%, while the countervailing duties range from 20.73% to 116.33%.
