Chrysler Group has restructured its global marketing and global product planning operations designed, the company said, to clarify roles between brand and product marketing functions.

In global product planning and marketing, Ann Fandozziis appointed director – front wheel drive (FWD) product planning and marketing; Joseph Veltri becomes director – body on frame product planning and marketing; and John Sloan is appointed director – rear wheel drive (RWD) product planning and marketing.


All three will report to Stephen Bartoli, vice president – global product planning and marketing.


Meanwhile in Global Marketing, under senior vice president George Murphy, Thomas Loveless takes the new post of director – Dodge marketing & global communications; David Rooney is appointed to the new position of director – Chrysler marketing & global communications; and John Plecha takes up the new position of director – Jeep marketing & global communications. Christine MacKenzie, is appointed executive director – multi-brand events and agency relations.


“We’re focusing our brand marketing and global brand communications, integrating international product planning and ensuring continued emphasis on the vehicle engineering interface,” said Murphy.


All the new appointments are effective tomorrow, 1 February. Chrysler has axed the positions of vice president – global Chrysler/Jeep marketing and global Dodge marketing.


Chrysler has also made new appointments in its street and racing technology (SRT) division, which develops sporty model variants, and named Judith Wheeler vice president – marketing at DaimlerChrysler Canada.


There are also new postings in the automaker’s sales, service and parts operations.
