Chrysler is the largest exporter at the 56-acre port and employees had “the opportunity to pledge their support for legislation to provide temporary financial assistance to the American auto industry,” the automaker said.
The ‘Town Hall’ gathering was also “a chance for Port employees to voice their opinions about what Congress and the general public should know about the deep impact the auto industry has on the local Baltimore community,” the company said in a statement.
