Mobileye has won an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) deal with a US car manufacturer, which will use the Israeli company’s technology for hands-free driving features.
Without naming the company, Mobileye said it is a “second top 10 automaker”.

The unnamed company plans to integrate EyeQ6H-based Surround ADAS as standard on a broad range of volume and premium models built on software-defined vehicle platforms, according to Mobileye.
By stacking multiple driving functions and software layers onto a single EyeQ6H chip and one electronic control unit (ECU), the platform is designed to support automakers’ efforts to consolidate ECUs in future vehicle designs.
Mobileye linked the technology’s adoption to tightening global regulatory expectations for ADAS performance and rising demand for hands-free capability in mature markets.
The company expects Surround ADAS-type systems to become the next wave of mainstream ADAS and to be fitted as standard on a growing number of models in both Europe and the US.
Surround ADAS is described as a software-defined package of safety and convenience functions, intended for operation within specified conditions and areas.
The system is built to process data from up to 11 sensors – combining multiple cameras and radars – through a single EyeQ6H, drawing on advances in artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor fusion and Mobileye’s REM crowdsourced mapping data.
A typical configuration includes one forward-facing high-resolution camera, four corner parking cameras and several radar units.
In designated zones and conditions, the system can support hands-free, eyes-on driving at speeds up to 81 mph (130 kph), with functions such as automated lane changes, highway traffic jam assistance and cut-in protection.
Mobileye president and CEO Amnon Shashua said: “This selection of Mobileye Surround ADAS by one of the world’s great automakers reflects the power of our approach to democratizing safety and technology.
“Leveraging the EyeQ6H as a powerful central processor for ADAS enables better performance, increased features and greater flexibility to automakers and their customers, all at a lower cost.”
On the safety side, the platform is designed to enhance blind spot detection, evasive manoeuvre assistance, pedestrian detection and driver monitoring, all integrated into the EyeQ operation, with optional automated parking features also available.
The processing capabilities of the EyeQ6H are intended to support over-the-air software updates for future functions and to incorporate cybersecurity safeguards.
Mobileye now projects delivery of more than 19 million EyeQ6H-based Surround ADAS systems.
This includes approximately nine million units linked to the newly announced US automaker and additional volumes from programmes with Volkswagen Group disclosed in March 2025.
