“We are waiting for far more universal adoption” of diesel in the United States for its fuel efficiency,” Audi of America president and CEO Scott Keogh told the Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Michigan, according to a WardsAuto.com report.

Audi started US diesel sales with the Q7 and A3 Sportback.
Keogh said 30% of Q7s and 60% of Sportbacks are sold with diesel engines and a three-litre option will be offered for the A6, A7, A8 and Q5.
Diesels deliver 20% to 30% better fuel economy, he said.
