Audi of America has named Scott Keogh chief marketing officer, a newly formed position designed to oversee all marketing strategy and responsibilities.

He is charged with further elevating the positioning of the Audi brand in the US, the automaker said.
Keogh will report to executive vice president Johan de Nysschen who said that the new appointee will focus on building the brand’s image.
The top marketing post at Audi was previously director of marketing, held by Stephen Berkov. According to The Car Connection, he is now director of brand marketing and innovation and moving to California from Audi’s US headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Prior to joining Audi, Keogh, 37, worked at Mercedes-Benz USA for more than a decade. He was most recently general manager, marketing communications, where he was responsible for developing all strategic plans, including brand and product positioning.
Previous positions at Mercedes-Benz included general manager, Smart USA, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, product planning and retail development.
Prior to heading Smart, Keogh was in charge of MBUSA corporate communications.
