UQM Technologies has received an order from Lightning Systems for its eDT 220 electric propulsion systems for use in several new projects, including Class 6 vehicles for Zeem Solutions in New York and a city bus programme for Via Mobility, in Boulder, Colorado.

UQM supplies various powertrain components to Lightning Systems, including the UQM E-Drive paired with different gearbox solutions, making UQM the Tier 1 provider for the full assembly.

UQM recently secured new and follow on orders from several unnamed Chinese fuel cell companies including a Chinese OEM customer, for delivery this year and into 2019.
