Commercial vehicle output fell 3.6% last month to 10,974 and 5.9% over the first 11 months of 2012 to 105,188.
Engine production was flat in November, down 1.4% to 223,853 and 0.3% to 2,345,167 YTD.
“UK car manufacturing has gone from strength to strength in 2012, growing almost 10% for the year and 5% in November,” said SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt.
“This is good news, but there can be no room for complacency; the development of a long-term industrial strategy and consistent support by government is essential to secure future success and more opportunities for the UK-based supply chain.”
