The union’s demand follows a statement from the Department of Trade and Industry on Thursday night that it had not decided whether the findings would be released.
“It’s a decision for the secretary of state [minister in charge of the office]. It’s for him to absorb the report and publication will depend on the findings and what, if any, further action needs to be taken,” the DTI statement said, according to the union.
Roger Maddison, the union’s national officer for motor vehicles, said: “We called on the DTI to investigate fully the collapse of Rover. We now ask for the DTI to release all the findings from the inquiry.”
The report was commissioned after requests from Amicus, the union claimed in a statement on Friday.
The investigation by the Financial Reporting Council will be completed by next week and a report will be given to newly appointed trade and industry secretary Alan Johnson.
