Ford UK workers are currently paid double time for working Sunday nights. The company had approached Ford Flight staff demanding that they take a cut in overtime rates. The company maintained that if the staff refused they would outsource the work to a third party.

According to the union, Ford Flight staff received a “tremendous amount of support” from their colleagues elsewhere in Ford’s UK operations, who had raised concerns about the proposed changes.

Amicus regional secretary John Hellyer said: “This is a great result for staff working for Ford Flight. The staff started the week knowing that it’s back to business as usual.”
