Marketed as RAC Trackstar, the device uses GPS/GSM technology to track down stolen vehicles, sending updates on a vehicle’s location to a national control centre, the report said.

Trafficmaster reportedly said RAC Trackstar will be used in the Nissan 350Z and in Mazda’s RX-8 sportscars. Early next year it will also be an option across the entire Mazda range, the company said, according to Dow Jones.
