Toyota Europe has updated the Verso compact minivan derivative of its Corolla line with a new bumper and grille plus detail headlight and rear lamp cluster changes said to link the model more closely to the styling of the newer Yaris and Auris models.

Toyota (GB) is also adding a new ‘value’ SR model and revised equipment specifications across the range. The Verso was ranked number one among compact MPVs in the 2007 JD Power and Associates UK customer satisfaction survey.

The SR adds rear privacy glass, rear roof spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensors to the regular T3 grade specification and Toyota claims a GBP950 value saving compared to those models.

Changes to the core Verso range include a revised sound system for T2 models that can play digital music files stored on CD. Dual-zone climate control is now a standard feature of T3 models, which also gain a new ‘cascade black’ interior trim and chrome detailing in the rear number plate surround. T Spirit models share the new interior and have a new alloy wheel design.

Headlights and rear lamps with a smoked finish are new for the T180 flagship model, which also (together with the T Spirit versions) gains the option of full map satellite navigation with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free mobile phone operation.
