GreenLine is Škoda’s new range of low CO2-emitting vehicles. The enviroment-friendly Superb will be priced from GBP16,710 OTR and has the VW group’s 105hp, 1.9-litre, TDI PD turbodiesel engine with particulate filter and five speed manual gearbox. It emits 136 g/km of CO2.
The company said it had achieved this by measures including reduced weight, longer gearing and re-mapped engine control electronics for greater efficiency. This, together with improved aerodynamics and low resistance tyres, adds up to a more environmentally conscious vehicle, the company said.
The GreenLine is a separate trim level and sits between the entry level Superb S and the mid-range SE.
Chris Horrell, product marketing manager at Škoda, said: “The latest addition to our GreenLine range will be well received by customers seeking a more environmentally conscious vehicle in the upper medium sector.
“With growing interest in greener cars we expect the Superb GreenLine to attract retail and business customers seeking a vehicle which represents great value for money but does not compromise on quality.”
