MG Rover Group has confirmed (13/9/00) signing a deal with an un-named ‘serious player’ to explore possible collaboration, say UK auto industry press (13/9/00).
Local press reports – quoting Managing Director Kevin Howe – say that a direct approach from a major player was made very early on. Having signed a confidentiality agreement, MG Rover is now able to explore various aspects of the business, say the reports citing Mr Howe.
