The PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in Ryton, near Coventry in the English Midlands, has just built its half millionth Peugeot 206 hatchback. This is the first time that a half million units of any model have been produced in less than three years in the former Rootes Group and Chrysler UK plant’s history.

PSA Peugeot Citroën says that Ryton is one of the group’s success stories with output increasing continually in recent years.
“It has been a terrific period in terms of production output and quality,” said manufacturing director Christophe Gauthier.
“The plant is working at full capacity producing cars seven days a week and everyone at Ryton can look to the future with confidence as demand for the 206 remains high.
