Like its PSA group sibling Citroen UK with the Mitsubishi i-MiEV-based C-Zero, Peugeot UK has slashed the price of its version, the i0n, to an identical GBP21,216 on the road (after the government’s GBP5,000 Plug-in Car Grant) and is offering the same monthly lease deals priced from GBP249 over three years.
The automaker said the Peugeot EV range would grow at the beginning of 2013 with the introduction of an electric Partner light van which will qualify for the recently announced extension to the UK government’s EV grant, with a maximum of GBP8,000 subisdy for the purchase price of electric commercial vehicles.
