The vote came after a recommendation of acceptance by the full Company Council, followed by a series of presentations to all employees.


The accepted offer includes a pay increase (back-dated to 1 January 2003) of 3%, and, from 1 January 2004, a further increase of 3% or RPI, whichever is the greatest.


Managing director, John Cushnaghan said: “I am delighted that this matter has been fully resolved internally after extensive employee consultation. I feel it is a reflection of the excellent relationship the company has had with its employees over many years.”
