Nissan is to launch a Spanish-built version of the US-made Pathfinder, to rival Land Rover’s Discovery, at the Paris Motor Show next month, according to the UK website 4Car.
The website said the European models will come with a new version of the 2.5-litre diesel engine currently fitted in the Navara and Terrano while the four-litre V6 used in American Pathfinders could also be offered at a later date.
The Pathfinder will be promoted, like the smaller X-Trail, as a versatile, family-oriented vehicle, 4Car said.
