Nissan has announced UK pricing for the e-NV200, its 100% electric van.
The model combines the versatility of the NV200 van with the Leaf’s drivetrain to deliver running costs of GBP0.02 (US$ 0.03) per mile.
Available from July in both panel van and five-seat combi form, and with two trim levels, the ground-breaking newcomer is said to offer exceptional running cost savings over a conventional diesel van.
e-NV200 drivers can expect to benefit from up to GBP2,500 of fuel savings with the vehicle costing GBP0.02 per mile, while maintenance costs will be reduced by GBP575 based on servicing, parts and wear and tear. In addition, those that opt for the all-electric e-NV200 will pay no road tax and will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge.
Customers can either choose to buy the e-NV200 outright or opt for ‘flex’ – a battery leasing option that reduces the initial purchase price. All e-NV200 models qualify for a government grant – up to GBP8,000 Plug In Van Grant (PiVG) for the panel van, and up to GBP5,000 Plug In Car Grant (PiCG) for the five-seater combi.
With the government incentive, the e-NV200 van, in entry level Acenta trim, can be purchased outright for GBP16,562.20 while the similarly specced combi is GBP22,859. Those choosing the Flex option, with monthly battery rental starting from GBP61 per month will see their initial outlay (incorporating PiVG/PiCG) fall to just GBP13,393 and GBP17,855, respectively.
