Honda (UK) is using Aprimo Marketing Ad Builder & Publisher, a web-based advertisement building and publishing software product, to help about 300 car and power equipment dealers generate and place press advertisements.

The system is integrated directly into Honda’s marketing extranet.  The simple three-step process allows dealers to log on, choose an ad template from an online library and then select target publications.


The system completes the transaction, automatically customising the ads with dealer contact details, and resizes and retouches them for each individual publication.


Print-ready artwork is automatically prepared and uploaded into an online clearing system for transmitting to publications within the UK.


The entire process now takes minutes, replacing a people- and time-intensive process that traditionally took many hours.


Honda dealer marketing manager, Ian Armstrong, said: “Our dealers place around one hundred press ads a week, so being able to automate the process and cut out the need for artwork to be prepared each time by a studio will create significant cost savings – but more importantly provide an easier, faster service to support our dealers.”
