NAC, which bought the assets and some brands of defunct MG Rover two years ago, on Tuesday said it expects to recruit around 80 dealers nationwide.
NAC’s updated MG TF sportscar, expected in back in UK production in September or October, will be sold through Luffield Cars in Loughborough, Leicestershire, and two of the Merritts Motor Group’s Buckinghamshire-based premises in Amersham and Aylesbury. Each will have dedicated showrooms adhering to MG’s new corporate identity guidelines, sales personnel and a service technician.
Stephen Cox, sales and franchising manager for NAC MG (UK) said: “We are very pleased to welcome two very highly-experienced and well-renowned retail groups to the MG network.”
Luffield Cars was previously a recognised MG X-Power specialist and is still an MG service centre. Merritts was an MG Rover retailer for 10 years.
