MG Rover has revived the famous London Vanden Plas coachbuilding badge for a new long-wheelbase version of the 75 executive saloon.
The new model is not a factory-built model but is stretched 200mm by the specialist coachbuilders S MacNellie & Son.
The LWB car is based on the top-specification 75 Connoisseur with 2.5-litre V6 and five-speed automatic transmission.
It is initially available only in right-hand drive form priced from £27,995 but was displayed at this week#;s Geneva motor show to gauge the sales prospects for a LHD version.
MG Rover has also introduced a new personalisation programme called Monogram which allows a wider selection of paint colours, interior trims and options across its entire model range than regular factory-built cars.
