Mercedes-Benz dealers in the major United Kingdom metropolitan areas of London, Birmingham and Manchester are to become manufacturer-owned. DaimlerChrysler UK says that these will be supported by a national network of what it terms "Market Area Concepts (MACs)".
These will feature main dealers, their satellites, service stations and high street retail outlets making it easier for customers to purchase and have cars serviced and repaired.
Current dealers will continue to sell and service cars as usual whilst the network re-organisation takes place.
