Lexus GB has announced the appointment of Canadian Karl Schlicht as Lexus Director. The appointment follows Stuart McCullough’s move to Brussels as Lexus Director, Europe.

Schlicht is currently Group Vice President – Business Innovation, Toyota Canada Inc. He has been with the Toyota organisation in various roles from 1986, including two separate assignments in the Canadian Lexus operation as Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager between 1990 and 1997. Schlicht’s current role as Group Vice President – Business Innovation is responsible for corporate and dealer change, training, corporate planning and dealer development.
Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director, Graham Smith, said: “Karl’s focus over the last four years has been leading business change to meet market and competitive challenges – experience which will be key to the future development of the Lexus business in the UK.”
Prior to joining Toyota Canada Schlicht held positions with General Motors, American Motors and Mazda Canada. He will take up his new role at Lexus GB’s headquarters in Epsom from 1 January 2003.
