Lex Vehicle Leasing has launched a new web based service, which gives customers full online access to its back office computer system.
Called Interactive Fleet Manager (IFM) the system, which went live at the end of last month, gives fleet customers 24-hour, 365-day access to their detailed fleet information via a secure Internet connection.
Lex has invested £1 million in the project and believes IFM places them significantly ahead of the competition.
“No other contract hire company can provide Fleet Managers with the ability to interactively manage their vehicles in real time over the Web,” said John Flynn, LVL’s e-commerce development manager.
Users can carry out a range of tasks, including viewing invoices, monitoring vehicle maintenance histories, allocating vehicles to drivers and cost centres, all in real time. IFM offers a total HR package that allows customers to manage driver details, taxable benefits and rental contributions online. P11D and P46 reports can be printed automatically, in the Inland Revenue approved format with the click of a mouse.

By GlobalData“IFM allows fleet managers to interrogate their data in various ways and directly update LVL’s back office system. This is a far cry from other web-based systems offered by our rivals which simply push information,” he added. “IFM is a genuine leap forward in online fleet management solutions.”
