Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to supply one of its Chinese importers with 13,000 vehicles over three years.
Jaguar said it was ‘a very significant’ order, and was particularly welcome ‘at this challenging time’.
The order is for both Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles.
China was the company’s fifth-largest market last year when it sold 1,350 Jaguars and almost 12,000 Land Rovers there.
The MoU for the deal was signed as Business Secretary Lord Mandelson met China’s commerce minister, Chen Deming, in London.
