Honda UK has passed on four wheel drive and hybrid powertrains for its version of the new HR-V crossover on sale in summer 2015.
Launch engines will be 120PS 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel or 130PS 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engines, both from the ‘Earth Dreams Technology’ series.

An advanced driver assist system package, which employs a camera and mid-range radar, adds safety technologies, some new to this crossover segment.
A lower-profile fuel tank mounted under the front seats frees up underfloor space beneath the rear seats, enabling the platform to accommodate ‘Magic Seats’ first launched with the Jazz/Fit.
Upper grades will have a Honda Connect touchscreen with “advanced connectivity and infotainment”. A five-inch screen is available on the Comfort grade.
Only front wheel drive will be offered but the 1.5-litre petrol model will have a CVT automatic option with paddle shift on some grades.
