The UK Inflation rate rose last month – due in part to the recent rise in petrol prices.
The headline inflation rate rose from 3.1 per cent in May to 3.3 per cent in June. The underlying rate also rose, from 2 per cent to 2.2 per cent.

Although the inflation figures, which follow last week`s decision by the Bank of England to keep interest rate levels unchanged at 6 per cent, were higher than expected, they are still well within UK Government targets.
