Van specialist LDV has appointed a former Ford plant head as executive director, global purchasing and business improvement.

Keith Stanton was director of Ford’s Transit light commercial vehicle plant in Southampton.
He will become a member of LDV’s board of directors and will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing, including the implementation of business and process improvement programmes in all areas of the company.
In a statement, LDV noted that Stanton was held in extremely high regard by Ford’s workforce, and is credited with boosting production volumes at Southampton by 30% in the last year.
