Volkswagen Group motorsport chief Wolfgang Dürheimer is again to head Bentley, becoming chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors from 1 June, 2014, replacing Wolfgang Schreiber, who will take up a new position within the group.
Bentley last year delivered 10,120 vehicles, 19% more than in 2012. Sales grew 15.5% to EUR1.68bn, profit rose 66.9% to EUR167.7m. In the first quarter of 2014, deliveries rose 17%.

Dürheimer (55) holds a degree in engineering and started his career in 1986 with BMW, where he held various management positions until 1998. In 1999, he joined Porsche where he headed research and development from 2001.
New models and series that significantly strengthened the Porsche brand were created under his leadership. In 2011, he was appointed CEO of Bentley Motors and Bugatti. In September 2012, he became a management board member at Audi, responsible for technical development.
After stepping down from this position, he is to be appointed to the VW group committees responsible for the US and China as well as again heading Bentley and Bugatti.
