All 1,000 First Edition models of the new Streetka convertible have been sold within three weeks of Ford UK opening the order books, the company said on Friday.

Another 5,000 cars have been allocated to the UK next year and will be offered with a choice of two specifications. Standard models priced at £12,495 will include ABS, cloth roof, remote central locking, driver & passenger airbags, height adjustable driver’s seat, 16″ alloy wheels, alarm, power heated door mirrors, front fog lamps, CD player and power windows.
Priced at £13,745, the Luxury Streetka will also have leather trim, heated seats, height adjustable passenger’s seat, air conditioning and heated windscreen. Options include a CD autochanger and, for the standard model, a climate pack that adds air conditioning and heated windscreen.
Designed by an in-house team lead by Ford design chief Chris Bird, the Streetka was engineered by Italian design house and coachbuilder, Industrie Pininfarina.
It’s the first Ka model to be sold in the UK with a 95PS 1.6-litre Duratec engine first introduced in Brazilian hatchback versions.
