Mitsubishi’s UK importer is appealing for the return of its Autosports International Show “star car” which was stolen even before the doors opened to the public at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham, central England.

Opportunist car thieves lurking at the venue stole the desirable £34,000 high performance 150 mph Galant VR4 saloon, one of six high performance Mitsubishi road and rally vehicles scheduled for display at the show which opens today (11/01/01).

The vehicle had just been unloaded from a vehicle transporter but, before the car could be moved into Exhibition Hall 6, the thieves struck.
