The IM Group said it has added one new Daihatsu dealer to the network every week throughout the first half of the year, taking the number to 111, its highest for a decade.
IM claims sales to the end of July 2004 were 16.25% higher than for the same period in 2003.
SMMT statistics show that Daihatsu sales plunged 22.71% on year to 262 units in July though year to date sales were up from 2,221 to 2,582.
