Calsonic Kansei will open its fourth facility in Wearside, UK, on 14 January.

The company has spent GBP800,000 (US$1.2m) to set up the 100,000sq ft warehouse at Doxford International Technology Park.

Calsonic Kansei Sunderland operations director John Barnett said: “It is our fourth site in Sunderland, which is a great vote of confidence in the city, and it means that we are in-sourcing warehousing for the first time. We are now carrying out all aspects of Calsonic Kansei activities in the Sunderland area, from manufacturing to distribution, cutting time and improving efficiency,” The Journal reported.

The facility is part of Calsonic Kansei’s GBP4.5m investment programme.
