A Bulgarian News Digest story reported by just-auto last Friday, saying that Antonov Automotive Technologies BV may invest 500,000 euro ($US534,000) to set up a plant to assemble Antonov cars in Bulgaria is incorrect, executive chairman Roumen Antonov said on Monday.

“My visit in Bulgaria and my subsequent meetings and discussions there were not related in any way to my position in AAT b.v. and its group of companies,” Antonov said in an emailed statement.
“All matters which I discussed in Bulgaria were linked only to my private company, Four Stroke S.A.R.L., a developer of car and engine projects.
“Therefore my visit was of a private nature, and I would like to clarify that there were no links with my position as an officer of AAT b.v. or any other company in the Antonov plc Group.”
