Robert Bosch Limited has appointed Hermann Kaess, 46, executive vice president and managing director for Bosch Automotive in the UK.

Kaess, who studied mechanical engineering whilst serving with the German army, has with the Bosch Group for 15 years. Starting as an application engineer for suspension control systems, he later worked on anti-lock braking and electronic stability systems before moving into sales and marketing prior to his appointment in the UK.
Kaess will be based at Denham in Buckinghamshire.
