Sales at Volkswagen Group’s Bentley division rose 9% in the first six months of the year to 4,279 units from 3,929 in the same period last year.
Bentley’s largest region, the Americas, saw 1,282 deliveries, a 12% increase on the same period in 2012.

Sales in China were down 23% to 817 units, a slump the company blamed on customers waiting for full availability of the Flying Spur.
This was offset by gains of 28% in the Middle East (394 cars) and 53% in Asia Pacific (222).
The company noted it opened 14 new dealerships in the first half of the year, including St Petersburg, helping to boost sales in Russia 4% to 110 units.
Sales in the rest of Europe were up 22% to 740, and 25% in the UK home market to 698 cars.
