Following its acquisition by Johnson Matthey in 2012, lithium-ion battery specialist Axeon has now rebranded as Johnson Matthey Battery Systems.
In the automotive/transport sector the business it is focused on developing and producing battery systems for hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as bus and truck powertrains.
The business is also a leading supplier of battery systems for premium e-bikes and power tools, which it designs and manufactures in high volumes, and provides solutions for a wide range of other battery-powered high technology applications.
