A report in the Financial Times newspaper says that Aston Martin is in discussion with Mercedes-Benz over technical assistance for the development of an Aston Martin SUV.
The Financial Times report, citing anonymous sources, said that the vehicle could be on the market within four years.

At the end of last year Aston Martin and Daimler signed a technical cooperation agreement that would see Daimler and Aston Martin co-develop V8 engines to be supplied by Mercedes-AMG, with the two groups also considering the cross-supply of other components.
Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche has recently made remarks suggesting that Daimler is open to more collaboration with other niche players such as Aston Martin.
The FT report said a possible SUV collaboration is one of a number of potential areas of collaboration between Aston and Mercedes.
Zetsche told Reuters earlier this year that the company would be open to sharing its GL offroader platform with Aston Martin.
