The latest clock is an update of the popular predecessor: every hour, on the hour, a detailed 1:93 scale chilli red Mini sets off on a quick round trip, circling the speedo-like clock face to the sound of the horn and engine.
If just-auto recalls correctly, the previous version also featured a model Mini – but that one emerged from its garage – with appropriate sound effects – on the hour.
The new clock costs GBP69.95 in the UK.
The previous version – launched with the first generation Mini in 2001- clocked up over 10,000 sales.
