Hyundai Motor has announced it will increase its annual production capacity at its Turkey plant, Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi (HAOS), to 200,000 units from the current 100,000 units.

The increase of annual production capacity, set to be completed by the end of 2013, is planned to meet growing demand from Europe and Turkey for Hyundai’s light segment models. At the end of 2013, HAOS will produce the next generation i10 model in addition to the bigger i20, which has been produced in Turkey since 2010.
