Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) achieved 21% growth year on year in domestic sales and 22% overall in January 2017. Toyota's Indian operation sold 10,336 units locally and exported 916 Etios series models last month.

Sales and marketing chief N Raja said: "Three months into demonetisation and we can slowly see that the market is reviving with increased footfalls and customer enquiries. In fact, even with demonetisation in effect, we have still managed to record 17% growth in sales in the last three months. This has been possible due to the overwhelming response [to] the new Fortuner and Innova Crysta."
