Toyota has confirmed the restart of production following shortages resulting from the severe earthquakes that struck Japan's island of Kyushu on April 14.
Thanks to the efforts of various parties involved in achieving recovery, Toyota is says it is "now able to confirm the stable status of our parts supply". All vehicle assembly lines will recommence after June 6.

Furthermore, the company said that the suspension of production lines associated with the explosion which occurred at Advics Co. Ltd's Kariya Plant in Aichi prefecture on May 30, is also over.
Aisin Advics is majority owned by Toyota group supplier Aisin Seiki Co.
Toyota also said it will continue to make all available efforts to offer support to the earthquake affected residents of Kumamoto, and "we hope for the recovery of the affected areas as soon as possible".
This week's disruption follows similar recent disruptions to Toyota's supply chain caused by exceptional circumstances and highlights one disadvantage that comes with its lean manufacturing model: the supply chain can break.
